Monthly Quote

“Sometimes we feel that we need to do it all - and all at once. That is not the case. When we give what we have according to our time, according to our energy, according to where we are at this moment in our development, then the Lord will take what we have to offer and He will make up the difference."

-Ardeth Kapp

Monthly Scripture

For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little:

2 Nephi 28:30

Our new BLOG is ready for you to get updates and news on our progress
Our launch date goal has been announced for July 17th 2008

Welcome to 'the Grapevine' -we hope you like the look of our newsletter. You've all been very patient and our gratitude goes out to each and every one of you. We did not intended to launch our website until sometime in August but due to the massive response, we've been working very hard to bring it to you a little earlier.

We thank you for your emails and for those of you who have shared your lives and your needs with us. Every day I am aware of how connected we all are, how so many of us have shared similar experiences and feelings, and more importantly, how much we can make a difference in each other's lives by living our true selves.

Having said this, I'm going out on a limb here (having faith that if can and will be done) in saying that we will be up and live July 17th, 2008. Why that date you may ask? Because it's my birthday and is my treat to me, knowing I will be on the way to finally realizing one of my dreams.

We may not have everything ready the day we launch but this is a work in progress. I hope you will walk the path with me and share your thoughts and ideas as to what would help you so that we can build this community together.

While it may seem to some that nothing much is happening, believe me when I say that there is much going on behind the scenes. Thank you to all on the LDSWA team for all you have and continue to do. I so appreciate all of you.

I wake up every day with such a deep gratitude to my Heavenly Father for His direction and support in what I am striving to do for all of us- The LDS women of today around the world.

With much love,

LDSWA WELCOMES JENN AND JULIE TO THE TEAM
We want to introduce two special ladies who have recently joined our team

Jenn has joined the LDSWA team and will be putting her technical knowledge to good use in making our magazine come alive. You have already seen her abilities in the recent flyers and newsletters that we have sent to you.

Since joining us, we have enjoyed Jenn's gentle and happy manner and the ease she is to work with.

Jenn is currently living in Heber City, Utah with her husband, Dean, and their little boy Drew who is two years old.

Jenn went to Utah State University where she graduated in Business Information Systems and Marketing. USU is also where she met Dean. They have been married for 5 years.

When she is not spending time with her family or chasing Drew, she enjoys running, playing soccer, going on vacation, and reading.

Jenn has worked for Meridian Magazine for the past three years and is very excited to be a part of LDSWA and help to produce a wonderful and fun magazine for LDS women!

Julie is responsible for working with our great writers and overseeing the online digital magazine we are putting together for today's LDS woman.

Already in the short time she has been with us, we have come to know her sweet spirit and indomitable energy and thank her for all the time and effort she puts forth in spite of being a single mother working full time and raising a teenage daughter.

Julie has a background in radio, television, print media, and advertising. She has been a published feature writer, editor, and journalist for over 30 years in various publications, including a slick cultural city magazine, statewide business and industrial monthly, regional farm magazine, and local newspapers. She is currently writing a book, which she hopes to publish and later adapt to a screenplay for a motion picture.

Although born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Julie has also lived and worked in New Orleans, Louisiana, Iowa, Arkansas, and Missouri. She was raised a Catholic, during which time she taught high school catechism and was a board member of the Religious Education Committee of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Louisiana, prior to her conversion to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints nearly 20 years ago. she has a great love for Christian women of all faiths and appreciates their strengths, diversities, and struggles.

Julie currently resides in Kennet, Missouri, is a member of the Blytheville, Arkansas ward, and the Memphis, Tennessee North Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
